TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
ICU/Critical Care RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 3 years in Critical Care preferred License:
Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Must-Have: Strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical,
EVD, and stroke) Must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit. Must be
EPIC proficient. Description: Chesapeake is located in a beautiful
area known for its outdoor activities. It offers trails for all
levels of hikers and over 20 waterways to explore. Candidates must
have strong neuro experience. The facility will not consider any
license or background hits. Candidates should ensure they have no
prior hits on their record. Shifts include 3x12 or 4x12, with
floating required to Stepdown Unit and potential floating to ED or
MedSurg. Experience in managing ventilators, IV drip titration,
telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation is required.
Candidates will care for patient populations including
neurosurgical and post-stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure,
post-surgical, trauma, and sepsis. Strong critical thinking and
emergency management skills are necessary. Travel experience is
preferred but not mandatory. The facility adheres to specific
compliance rules, including address verification. Candidates are
required to have the necessary certifications and skills to manage
patients effectively. Clinical competencies, including dysrhythmia
management and arterial line care, are essential for this role.
Interdisciplinary support will include various teams to assist in
patient care. Patient demographics will include adolescents,
