The Senior Commercial Project Director i (Mid Atlantic region) s a seller-doer role that will support the strategy, development, capture, and execution of environmental investigation and remediation projects targeting the commercial market sector throughout the Mid Atlantic region. We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Commercial Project Director to support growing our commercial footprint across our locations in the Mid Atlantic region. This position can be remote in any area of the region (South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, DC, Maryland).The ideal candidate will have extensive, recent experience in the general Philadelphia area selling and managing environmental services, such as remedial investigation, risk assessment, feasibility studies, remedial design, remediation and construction management; compliance and permitting; RCRA, CERCLA, RCRA, Act 2, LSRP projects; brownfields/property redevelopment; evaluation and management of potential environmental liabilities; and communication and negotiation with federal, state and local regulatory agencies as well as other project stakeholders. The successful candidate will work with our sales staff and project managers, and help identify and hire new project managers, to build and grow a commercial projects team to complement our existing highly successful federal projects team.   • Establish and develop new commercial client accounts.
  • Fill a commercial opportunities pipeline with significant (i.e., > $100K) bids
  • Work with our sales staff to develop and deliver sales presentations to prospective commercial clients. -
  • Prepare proposals, manage projects, and perform technical work as necessary balancing sales and utilization.
  • Assemble and lead teams to effectively pursue and win commercial work, and then manage the projects to completion on time, within budget, in a safe manner and within regulatory requirements.
  • Work with our sales staff and senior staff to develop and implement growth strategies to increase our commercial client base for a broad range of integrated environmental consulting and engineering services
  • Identify and nurture strategic joint venture partnerships for major commercial projects. Qualifications :
    • 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting services with at least ten years of experience in program/project management, business development, and strategic planning focused on the commercial market sector.
    • Must have existing client relationships in the commercial environmental and engineering consulting market in the Mid Atlantic region and a proven track record of winning work.
    • Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
    • Professional registration (i.e., Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), and/or Project Management Professional (PMP)) is preferred. BS degree in engineering, science or a related technical field is required. Advanced degree is preferred.
