Job Description Pride Health is hiring for an Occupational Health Nurse for a client in West Point, VA! (Contract) Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm Contract: longer term contract, ongoing need- possibility of converting to permanent Primary Responsibilities: - Attend to workplace injuries and illnesses promptly. - Organize and conduct annual health screenings for employees. - Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for mill operations. - Perform annual hearing tests for employees (COHC certification required). - Assist Safety Manager in maintaining OSHA logs for Workers' Comp. cases. - Administer allergy medications and vaccinations (including Covid, flu, tetanus). - Manage inventory of medical and safety supplies. - Conduct physical examinations for new hires and Incident Response Team members. - Keep employee medical records updated and confidential. - Oversee drug screening procedures. - Support employees in wellness initiatives such as weight loss and blood pressure management. - Provide assistance with benefits inquiries. - Monitor FMLA/STD and help with associated paperwork. - Coordinate health services, rehabilitation, and return-to-work plans. - Offer guidance on medical matters and interpret relevant documents. - Collaborate with the Worker Compensation Third Party Administrator (TPA) and process claims. - Advise management on medical and workers' compensation issues. - Manage orders for pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, ensuring timely replenishment and monitoring expiration dates. - Perform administrative duties and other assigned tasks from mill HR and Safety Managers. Required Qualifications: - Active Registered Nurse OR LPN License - Occupational Health experience is a plus - 2 years of nursing experience Apply with Pride Health for this opportunity!
