Job Description:

The Outside Sales Representative - Military, will call on U. S. Navy Ships to sell products represented. Presents new and existing items, coordinates delivery schedule exceptions, sells in special items, and follows objectives, coordinate's special replenishments prior to ship deployments or extended underway periods.Visit assigned ships regularly while they are in port; communicate with them while underway.Present new items added to the Ships Stores contract and secure orders for these.Present existing items in the Ships Stores assortment and secure orders for these; maintain full distribution of products represented in the Ships Stores.Maintain current knowledge of products sold including the new items.Maintain rapport with Ships Stores Division leadership, colleagues and our clients.Coordinates beverage vending machine placement and repair with the Ships Stores and beverage bottler contacts.Advise colleagues and leadership of any issues, competitive activity, and business opportunities.Check expiration codes; ensure compliance with approved plan-o-gram.Miscellaneous duties as assigned.5 years prior Ships Stores experience required.Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.Must have a valid driver's license and must be able to drive a car for extended periods of time.Must be available for overnight travel.Must be available for weekend work as well as be available to work nights and holidays.Must be able to effectively communicate with others; must be able to speak and hear.Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, reach, pull, grasp and stand on a daily basis.Must have good vision, dexterous use of both hands and be able to use a computer.Must be able to stand and walk onboard ship for long periods of time.Must be able to meet the criteria requirements to obtain a DOD Contractor's Badge.Must have a valid driver's license;Additional travel on a bi-weekly/weekly basis within your territory; andThis position requires that you drive on behalf of Acosta Sales & Marketing, and as such, any DUI/DWI conviction in the past 36 months will be an immediate disqualifier for this position.Acosta Sales & Marketing is an Equal Opportunity EmployerBy submitting your application you agree with and accept the Acosta Privacy Statement and Terms of Conditions.US:http:acosta.jobs/privacy-policy-ca/
