Job location: City of Virginia Beach Public Works 3556 Damn Neck Road - Virginia Beach 23456

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or Tuesday - Friday 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour.

Job duties:

• Perform minor maintenance or construction work.
• Perform a variety of manual work to perform required job tasks installation and maintenance of signs.
• Perform maintenance and construction of various Public Works facilities and structures as directed.
• Perform a variety of maintenance and manual tasks to assist with installation or pavement markings. Requirements:
  • Ability to perform manual work task to install and maintain signs.
  • Ability to do a variety of maintenance and manual tasks to assist installation of pavement markings.
  • Skilled in performing one or more tasks specifically related to street/highway maintenance.
  • Ability to perform routine manual work and the ability to lift heavy articles.
  • Ability to understand simple oral and written instructions and perform them as directed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
