Dragados USA is seeking carpenters to support the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel expansion project. The Carpenter is responsible for providing formwork construction for placement of concrete and assistance in other projects on the job. Several openings available.Hiring immediately!Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Using small hand tools to construct and set formsAssisting other coworkers in all necessary requirements to prepare for the placement of concreteLoading and unloading of equipmentInteracting with subcontractors to provide required assistance on construction activitiesEnsuring that all work is being performed per contract documents, specifications, and provisionsEnsuring that all OSHA and company safety requirements are implemented and used properlyPerforms other related duties as required and assignedRequired Qualifications:Must have a minimum of3 years carpentry/woodworking construction experienceMinimum of high school diplomaor equivalentMust be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively.Preferred Qualifications:Must demonstrate attention to details in woodworkingMust be knowledgeable of safety procedures and practicesMust be able to work in a team environmentLocal candidates strongly preferredRigging experience a plusConcrete formwork experienceEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
