The Jordan-Young Institute is a prominent multi-sub specialty orthopedic and spine private practice in Virginia Beach, Virginia seeking full-time Radiologic Technologist. We are a high-volume practice committed to serving our patients with excellent customer service. We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Radiologic Technologist. Services include orthopedice surgery, neurosurgery, physiatry, and physical therapy. The ability to multi-task is critical for success in the role. Responsiblities: Explaining the procedure to the patient Positioning the patient properly Positioning radiation protection devices such as lead shields Setting x-ray equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of a patient's body Setting controls on the x-ray machine to produce x-rays or radiographs of the appropriate density, detail and contrast Following physicians' orderss precisely Keeping patient records and adjusting/maintaining equipment (This is not an inclusive list of duties) Requirements: Proven experience conducting X-Rays Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations and medical office procedures Licensed in the state of Virginia Outstanding communication skills Patience and discretion Organizational and multitasking skills Job Type: Full-time The safety of our team members and patients is of utmost importance, so Jorday-Young Institute is requiring the COVID-19 vaccine for all team members.
