Scope: Ability to operate and setup all types of CNC, NC, and
conventional machines.(NIGHT SHIFT) Position Summary: --- Load
tools in machine that have been pre-set in tool room.--- Load
program in machine control.--- Take test cut and measure before
finish machining.--- Adjust machine settings, according to
blueprints, if necessary.--- Check and change tooling.--- Adjust
speeds and feeds as needed.--- Must be able to run conventional
machines as well with proficiency.--- Must have the ability to make
and edit programs without programmer assistance.--- Perform minor
machine maintenance such as oil, filter and coolant levels, removal
of chips from machine. Education: Three to six months related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
and experience. Knowledge: Incumbent must have proficient knowledge
in the following areas:Knowledge of the Metric System/ Standard
System. Skills: Incumbent must demonstrate or participate in
internal/external training programs to obtain the following skills:
--- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. ---
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. --- Ability to
speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
organization.--- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as
discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,
circumference, and volume. --- Ability to apply concepts of basic
algebra and geometry.--- Ability to solve practical problems and
deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists.--- Ability to interpret a variety
of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
form.--- Must be able to operate and read precise measuring
instruments associated with the job. --- Must be able to operate
material handling equipment associated with the job. Benefits:$3000
