Strategic Sourcing SpecialistLocation: Chesapeake, VA Pay: $27.43/hour Employment Type: Full-Time - Temporary Contract Description: Procurement/Purchasing Professionals have an exciting opportunity to work with a leading manufacturing company located in Chesapeake, VA. A Day in the Role: - Initiate part requisition and place purchase order with approved vendor to ensure timely delivery of components to support operational requirements. - Act as change agent, to recommend and lead the implementation of such methodologies within the organization as necessary. - Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers. - Maintain a variety of schedules, records, and reports pertaining the tracking of materials through the supply chain cycle. - Ensure proper controls within the purchasing system and its interfacing programs. - Record, evaluate, and report on vendor performance consistent with defined criteria. - Drive cost reduction activities Qualifications: - Experience in a purchasing, procurement, buyer role - Experience with purchasing in manufacturing Necessary Skills: Purchasing - Procurement - Buying About Aston Carter: Please Note: Scammers are posing as Aston Carter.
