As our new Engineer 1 you will be part of a team dedicated to
working with municipalities and utilities to deliver a wide range
of water-related projects; from preliminary studies to following
projects through design and construction. The candidate will be
joining a highly successful team providing full service municipal
drinking water and wastewater solutions service within the
Mid-Atlantic region while collaborating with other offices and
teams through Ramboll North America.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Your starting point for constant growth
- Prepare basic designs on projects including pipeline
infrastructure for water and wastewater conveyance with pressurized
and gravity systems, rehabilitation of pipeline infrastructure,
water and wastewater facilities including pumping stations and
elevated storage tanks, and water and wastewater treatment
- Perform calculations in support of projects of routine to
average complexity, following design, construction and regulatory
standards, using design software and drawing tools.
- Analyses condition assessment reports, survey reports, maps,
drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, and other data to plan
projects of routine to average complexity. Make deductions from
analyses as required to create design deliverables for review by a
- Evaluate equipment and materials to be used for writing
- Prepare or present routine technical reports.
- Reviews vendor drawings to assure compliance with
- Participates actively in creating a safety culture in the
office and at the jobsite.
- Visit job sites to gain field experience, broaden background,
and develop practical engineering skills.

- Bachelor's Degree in civil or environmental engineering or
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, and proficient in
Microsoft Office. Proficiency in AutoCAD, hydraulic modeling and
other simulation platforms are desirable but not required.
