Job Description:
Aerotek is seeking experienced Medical Billing/Patient Account
Specialists for a contract to hire/permanent opportunity in
Virginia Beach, VA!Description:Day to day:The AR Representatives
work out of a Que and it is divided by Provider teams. Each AR
Specialist will handle two providers team which may have 1
physician and 1-2 mid levels. 1. Insurance follow up - contact
insurance carriers - determine why claims haven't be paid 2. Write
appeals and work denials 3. Talk to patients about their insurance
and help them understand and navigate the out of pocket cost - need
to be comfortable talking to both patients and insurance companies
4. They have it broken up by provider - need to know all payers 5.
Work closely with the providers to review AR- keeping aging down 6.
Keeping aging buckets down - under 90 days 7. Identifying trends
within insurances 8. Reporting with physicians - overall goal
reporting anything over 90 days 9. Work from spreadsheets and
priority lists and work ques- systems they use are EPIC,
Allscripts, ClearwavesRunning reports in AllScripts - and maneuver
data in ExcelAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Significant
knowledge in accounts receivable, medical terminology, ICD-10,
private and government insurance reimbursementsAt least two years
of medical accounts receivable experienceKnowledge of MS Office,
databases and EHR systemsUtilize Excel so need to be comfortable
