The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to join its corporate legal department. Reporting directly to CBN's Vice President and General Counsel, this position will provide legal representation, counsel, and service to CBN and its related entities. Responsibilities will cover a wide range of legal issues to include general business law, corporate governance, contract drafting, negotiating, compliance, and litigation management. This position will perform services on CBN's premises in Virginia Beach, VA.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of corporate/commercial law, and proficiency in at least one additional area of relevant legal specialty
• Excellent ability to structure, negotiate, draft, and analyze commercial transactions
• Strong contract negotiation and document drafting skills
• Strong litigation management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to meet challenging deadlines
• Ability to manage complex projects in a demanding fast paced environment
• Excellent business judgment and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
• Proficiency in MS Office software applications
• Minimum seven (7) years relevant law practice experience, either as in-house or outside counsel, highly preferred
  Required licenses/certifications:
  • Law degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing of a State bar association, able to be readily admitted to Virginia State Bar, either as an active member or as Virginia Corporate Counsel
