Job Description:

SLAIT Consulting is currently seeking a Business Advocate (BA) for a client in the Virginia Beach, VA area.

Overall Responsibility:

The BA will generate new appointments and leads for Account Executives in assigned territory. The BA will focus on the acquisition of new business by executing targeted marketing campaigns. The targeted marketing process includes mailing information to prospective customers and telephone calls. The BA will also support driving attendance to select SLAIT marketing initiatives and events. This is a hybridized Inside Sales/Business Development role, so a high level of phone activity and verbal interaction with prospect clients is necessary.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Identifying new sales opportunities through the use of targeted marketing approach

• Qualifying account potential and areas of opportunity through phone conversations and interactions with prospects

• Setting qualified meetings for assigned Account Executives

• Working with Account Executives to identify and drive new opportunities, as well as aid in the sales process through completion

• Updating industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining professional networks to maintain a high level of SLAIT services and solutions knowledge

• Updating and maintaining Microsoft CRM sales database by documenting interactions and adding new prospects and key demographic information

• Maintaining a high level of phone activity

• Performing steps in targeted marketing campaigns process

• Account Executives

• Regional Manager

• Partner Vendors (both inside and field counterparts)

Qualifications:

• Strong and effective closing skills

• Demonstrate prospecting skills and sales planning

• Knowledge of IT trends and industry

• Professionalism

• Effective use of time/time management

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to learn and multitask

B.S. or B.A. degree required. Prior IT sales or consulting experience a plus, but not necessary.
