This position is responsible for safely driving the facility bus to and from scheduled and non-scheduled destinations or events.Picks up and delivers residents to all scheduled activities where bus/van/vehicle transportation is needed.Performs pre-trip inspection of the vehicles in use including checking all lights, flashers and signals, fluid levels and tire inflation.Assists resident loading and unloading from the bus/van/vehicle.Maintains proper sanitization of the vehicle.Assures resident safety during travel.Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience driving a 16-passenger bus required. Must furnish official driving record from VA DMV. This position requires a current CDL license with a Passenger Endorsement.Preferred candidates will have:Excellent customer services skills, patience, and a knack for meeting a wide range of personal needs.Ability to work a flexible work schedule including evening shifts, weekends, and holidays, as the hours for this position will vary based on company demand.Clear communication skills with a team-based mentality.Competency in the operation of wheelchair lifts and lock down procedures.About Atlantic ShoresOur vision at Atlantic Shores is 'To be a neighborhood where people want to live and work.'
