Job Description TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to join an established behavioral health team in northeastern North Carolina. This opportunity offers a structured schedule, strong academic support, and the ability to practice in a collaborative inpatient behavioral health environment. Position Details Job Type: Permanent Specialty: Adult Psychiatry Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health with ED consults Schedule: 7-on / 7-off, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Practice Environment 20-bed freestanding behavioral health hospital Established behavioral health clinical team Inpatient psychiatric care with ED consult responsibilities Outpatient behavioral health support available locally Academic affiliation with a university-based Department of Behavioral Health and Psychiatry Hospital privileges at a 114-bed community hospital Part of a growing physician-led healthcare system Requirements MD or DO Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry Eligible for North Carolina licensure Interest in inpatient behavioral health practice Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package Administrative stipend Relocation assistance Malpractice coverage Retirement plans (401k matching / 457) Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays Student loan repayment opportunities may be available Additional incentives such as sign-on bonus or income guarantees may be available About TinkBird is a comprehensive healthcare recruiting and job placement firm for locum tenens, and permanent medical placements.
