Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care and services at facilities in Chatham and Independence, Virginia. The ideal candidate will deliver quality nursing care to patients through collaborative efforts with healthcare team members while adhering to established standards of care and practice. Job Quick Facts: • Ref: BD-353-42 • Profession: Licensed Practical Nurse • Location: Chatham and Independence, Virginia • Service Setting: Correctional Facility • Job Type: Contract • Coverage Type: Clinical • Start Date: ASAP • Shift schedule: (1) 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM; (2) 6:30 PM – 7:30 AM • Shift Type: Nights • Rate: $26-$36 (Pay rate will be determined by the facility based on qualifications and experience) Requirements: • Active Virginia license • CPR Certification Responsibilities: • Participates in the screening, evaluation, and care of inmates while under the supervision of a physician and/or registered nurse. • Record patients’ medical information and vital signs. • Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments. • Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained. • Coordinate with other medical and ancillary personnel, as required, to ensure continuity of care. • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ condition. • Provide appropriate nursing interventions in emergency situations. • Comply with all state requirements and facility policies and procedures. • Additional duties as assigned by facility.
