Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n Rad Tech - IR Tech /n/n Job Details: /n • This is a technologist position, not an RN position /n• Work in Interventional Radiology department on 1st floor of main building /n• Day shift includes 3-4 techs, 3-4 RNs, and 1 scheduler/coordinator /n• Night shift operates on call basis /n• 1-2 nights of call per week required /n• 1 weekend of call every 4-5 weekends /n• Patient ratios depend on type of IR procedure performed /n• Work with Discovery 740 IGS equipment /n• Use Meditech EMR system /n• Scrubs provided by facility /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS /n• Critical care experience required /n• Procedural area experience required /n• Moderate sedation experience required /n• PALS certification preferred /n• Meditech experience preferred /n• Perform biopsies and drain insertions /n• Conduct angiograms and peripheral vascular procedures /n• Assist with paracenteses and thoracentesis /n• Support other imaging needs including CT coronary, MRI monitoring, and myelograms /n• Assist with line placement procedures /n• May float to assist in CT, MRI, or general radiology departments /n• Must be outgoing, self-starter, team-oriented with positive personality /n/n Facility: /n This medical center features a comprehensive interventional radiology department with 10 staff members and state-of-the-art imaging equipment.
