Doctor of Medicine | Administration Location: Virginia, VA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join our team as a Locum Physician – General Medicine VA and make a vital impact supporting Veterans across the nation. This flexible, PRN role offers you the opportunity to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, helping Veterans receive the benefits they deserve. With a focus on interview-based assessments and physical examinations, you’ll provide essential services without prescribing or treatment responsibilities, all while working in your own office locations across Virginia. Required Skills: Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid, unrestricted license in Virginia Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine Experience with compensation and pension evaluations preferred Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to perform interview-based assessments and basic physical testing (range of motion, muscle strength) Nice to Have Skills: Previous experience in Veterans’ health services or government contract roles Familiarity with medical documentation and report submission Certification in relevant specialty areas Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution At least 2 years of clinical experience in general medicine Prior experience with VA or military health assessments is advantageous Other Requirements: Own your office space in designated locations: Coeburn, Covington, Hillsville, or Charlottesville, VA Ability to work ½ or full-day shifts (4-8 hours) Valid travel reimbursement for local candidates Quick credentialing and onboarding process No Bill Rate applicable; compensation based on flat rates ($800 per 4-hour shift, $1,600 per full day) Successful completion of all required training and exams to qualify for a one-time bonus of $650 Enhance your professional journey by contributing to Veterans’ lives while enjoying competitive pay and benefits.
