Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Chesapeake, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,798 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Critical Care preferred; strong candidates with less experience will be considered. License: Valid VA or Compact License required at the time of application. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke), Vents, IV drip titration, Telemetry monitoring, Conscious Sedation, Dysrhythmia and emergency management. Description: Chesapeake is located in a beautiful area known for its outdoor activities. The location offers trails for all levels of hikers and over 20 waterways to explore. Candidates must have strong neuro experience, including post-neurosurgical and stroke care. Nurses will be expected to float to Stepdown Unit and may also float to other areas as needed. The patient population includes neurosurgical and post-stroke patients, as well as those with respiratory and renal failure. Experience with trauma, sepsis, heart failure, and post-surgical care is desired. Candidates should be proficient in EPIC and possess skills in monitoring dysrhythmias and managing emergency situations. This position requires a willingness to float to other units as necessary. Candidates will be evaluated on their experience and ability to provide high-quality patient care in an intensive care setting. The ideal applicant will have strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams. Consideration will not be given to individuals with any prior license or background issues. Facility-specific requirements include passing an EKG comprehension test prior to acceptance.
