About The Position We are seeking a board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 50-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, beginning Dec 19, 2025. This opportunity features a series of block shifts spanning December to February, providing specialized surgical coverage in a dynamic hospital setting. Job Details - Location: Virginia - Start Date: Dec 19, 2025 - LOA: 50 days - Provider Type Needed: Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Schedule: - 1300 Dec 19 through 0700 Jan 1 - 0700 Jan 1 through 0700 Jan 12 - 0700 Jan 26 through 1300 Feb 2 - 1300 Feb 12 through 0700 Feb 26 Responsibilities and Duties - Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care during scheduled blocks - Perform both routine and complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures - Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure continuity of care - Respond promptly to emergent cases and intraoperative consultations - Maintain accurate and timely operative and patient care documentation - Adhere to hospital protocols and quality assurance standards Additional Information - Active Virginia medical license required - Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
