The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.Unit Description:The Sentara Princess Anne Hospital provides exceptional emergency care to patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week with expert staff, cutting-edge technology and specialty services, including:Board-certified emergency physiciansEmergency nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support, trauma and pediatric certificationsPediatric-trained team to treat children of all agesOvernight observation rooms for children and a separate family-friendly waiting areaSeamless connection to easily accessible radiology departmentLanding pad for Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance to ensure quicker treatment in emergency situationsEducation:ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.Certification:Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.BLS within 90 days of hire.ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hireExperience:2 years Nursing Experience in a hospital setting strongly Preferred.RN Experience in the ED highly preferred..by Jobble
