  Virginia Beach, VA.
  Job Requirements:
• Required: High School Grad or Equivalent
• Required: 2+ years experience in claims, contact centers, provider relations, enrollment, system administration, or related healthcare fields. Must possess the ability to create clear & concise presentations and possess excellent presentation skills.
• Use of personal vehicle required. Local travel.
• The Community Outreach Coordinator is a community development and member outreach role, responsible for a geographic area generating millions of dollars in annual revenue. Creates marketplace opportunities to showcase Optima Community Care programs and services for Medicaid beneficiaries, advocates, and community leaders. Initiates and develops community activities that drive membership growth or retention. Initiates grass-roots stakeholder development in support of Optima Community Care goals. Provides on-site management of events. Demonstrates proficiency in understanding, analyzing, and articulating complex issues in the Medicaid program or in the community, including emerging healthcare issues.
  • Assist with addressing members' social determinants of health needs to improve health outcomes
  • Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to build strong partnerships, and provide programs and resources to address unmet health-related social needs
  • Assist with addressing health inequalities and inequities
