Responsibilities

Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center-VBPC (a UHS facility), is a 100-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital located near the beautiful resort area of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a short 10-minute drive to the ocean front. VBPC offers acute psychiatric and substance abuse services for adults 18 years and older. The hospital is accessible 24 hours a day for admissions and includes mental health assessments and an excellent referral network. Treatment programs and specialty services at VBPC include substance abuse, dual diagnosis and partial hospitalization.

We are currently looking for a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary 13 week period. Our facilities provide comprehensive behavioral health services to adults.

The position of Temporary Travel Registered Nurse (RN) is a 13 week assignment. You may renew your assignment for one additional term. Shifts are 12 hours; 40 plus hours per week. Contact Human Resources at 757-496-4522 to learn more.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year psychiatric nurse experience preferred
• 1 year of experience as an RN (Registered Nurse) required
• Licensure and registration by the Virginia Board of Nursing as a registered nurse
