The House Supervisor reviews staffing at the change of shift by assigning, replacing and moving staff to meet patient care needs. The supervisor completes patient care rounds offering assistance and guidance to Nurses and CNA's, coordinates admissions and transfers and /or discharges ensuring appropriate documentation is recorded. Will also assist in the orientation of evening and night shift employees and check with them throughout the shift to ensure they feel appreciated. In addition, they will supervise and assist in evaluating the evening and night shift employees. While in a perfect world, the supervisor would only have a role of "supervising", however, there are times when they must jump into the role of a charge nurse by working a cart for the floor. For this reason, all supervisor/manager new hires are given training on the cart during their floor orientation.This position is a salaried position; however, the candidate chosen will also receive shift differential for their shift. At this time the shift differential for the 3-11 is an additional $3.00 per hour.The RN House Supervisor will receive a $5000 retention bonus that will be paid out in the following manner... $1250 paid out at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months of service.We now offer Daily Pay get pay any time you need to before PayDay ask about detailsNote: To ensure our residents get the best care and protection, we do require all of our employees to be fully vaccinated and a mask is required while in the building.Qualifications include but are not limited to:Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as an RN or an RN Multi-State License allowing practice in the state of Virginia.A minimum of 3 years of experience as an RN (required); 2 years in an LTC setting (preferred) and 2 years as a supervisor (preferred).We offer a competitive rate of pay and a comprehensive benefits package for full time associates which include affordable health and dental insurance within 60-90 days of hire, paid time off, extra pay for holidays, and a 401k with company match.At MFA, our staff makes us who we are.
