Description
Accuity was founded in 2016 with the goal of reinventing the
Clinical Documentation Process through MD case review, and MD to MD
education. Over the last six years, we have experienced rapid

Learn more about us at .The Director, CDI Services is responsible
for overseeing the CDI/Query Writing Team to monitor query
compliance. They ensure throughputs are in line with operational
goals. The Director, CDI Services supports the CDI managers in
complex case reviews and communication with the Physician and DRG
Coach Towers. They identify knowledge gaps and collaborate with the
Tower and Internal Quality Control (ICQ) leadership to implement
education and process improvement. The Director, CDI Services
identifies client issues, assists in problem solving and supports
client management in communications. In addition, they are
responsible for hiring, onboarding, and maintaining staff
development of the CDI Managers and Query Writing Team. Job
ResponsibilitiesNew Hire Orientation and Onboarding:
- Oversees the day-to-day operations, staffing, quality, and
productivity for CDI Services
- Monitors query work queues, responds to volume fluctuations,
and allocates resources to ensure we meet business needs on a
regular basis
- Assists the CDI managers with complex case reviews as well as
cases escalated by CDI, ICQ or the Physician and DRG Coach
Tower
- Collaborates with Revenue Cycle Analysts (RCA) and Query
Closers to facilitate accurate reporting and meet turnaround time
requirements
- Supports in the Peer-to-Peer review process and client
communications as needed
- Creates and maintains CDI team member onboarding handbook,
processes and materials
- Provides guidance for CDI managers in performance evaluations
and disciplinary actions as needed
- Creates team-building exercises and maintaining remote team
engagement
- Works with CDI managers to systematically review and update CDI
resources on Client Teams channels
- Recognizes any gaps in the Client Teams Channel information and
communicates with appropriate content owners
- Collaborates with the education department in internal content
development for continuous improvement
- Collaborates with the Tower operations leadership in deploying
and reviewing interrater reliability (IRR) cases for
multidepartment education
- Identifies cases to be utilized as case examples to support
education department efforts, sales team efforts, and marketing
efforts
- Identifies education needs and creates education models for the
internal CDI team
- Maintains up to date coding knowledge by reviewing materials
disseminated as well as those recommended by the Physician Staff,
Coach Auditor, Coding and CDI Leadership
- Attends client touch base calls as needed
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Healthcare
Administration, Health Information Management or other related
field(s) required
- Master's degree in Healthcare Management, Healthcare
Administration, Health Information Management or other related
field(s) preferred
- At least one of the following: MD/FMG, CDIP, RN, BSN, CCS,
CCDSExperience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role including
extensive knowledge and experience in query writing, coding
technology tools, demonstrating increased and/or diversified
responsibility for related services
- Established experience with inpatient professional coding and
clinical documentation required
- Extensive knowledge of operational revenue cycle management
with a variety of EMR experience preferredLicensure and/or
Credentials:
- At least one of the following: MD/FMG, CDIP, RN, BSN, CCS,
CCDSKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated management teamwork, interpersonal and
communication skills during high growth times (i.e. difficult due
dates and timelines)
- Excellent ability to support and promote a respectful,
inclusive culture of service excellence
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in group settings with
various stakeholders, including executive leadership and
clinicians
- Demonstrated experience with complex project management and
leading multiple projects to completion
- Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment, including MS
Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Independent, focused individual able to work remotely or
on-site
