GENERAL MANAGER, Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront SALARY: $150k plus Job Summary:The Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront offers 289 well-appointed guest rooms and over 12,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. Find us just off the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, a short walk to the beach and next door to Neptune's Park. Multiple high volume Food & Beverage outlets. Fantastic onsite indoor/outdoor dining, at Catch 31 Fish House and Bar for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. We also offer a well-equipped fitness center, indoor / outdoor pools, and year-round activity with our rooftop Sky Bar for summer late nights and winters filled with Igloos.Shamin Hotels is Virginia's largest hotel management company owning and operating over 68 hotels and we are continuing to grow! As a General Manager of the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront, you will be responsible for leading, directing and managing all hotel operations including but not limited to sales and marketing, human resources, budget and forecasting, housekeeping, maintenance, guest satisfaction, brand standard compliance and operational efficiency.Essential Job Functions:Develops operational plans for the hotel which support the overall objectives of the company. Monitors the performance of the hotel through verification and analysis of guest satisfaction systems Maintains product and service quality standards by conducting rigorous inspections, assigning work, and initiates corrective action as seen fit to create a flawless guest experience. Communicates expectation of operating in the upper strata of brand rankings. Champions the Revenue management of the hotel and directly manages the Hotel Director of Sales. Recruiting, selecting, training, mentoring, and directing hotel staff. Establishes and maintains a pro-active human resource function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage/benefit administration and compliance with regulations and company HR policies and procedures. Establishes and maintains preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel.Maintains a safe hotel for all employees and guests by ensuring compliance with Shamin safety policies including accident prevention, employee safety training and prompt safety hazard correction and incident investigation/reporting. Develops new programs, targeted to increase guest satisfaction and operational excellence.Rewards associates who use their empowerment to exceed guest expectations. Establishes and maintains an appropriate level of community involvement. Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm at all times. Manages the hotel with a hands-on approach and is highly visible to guests and employees. Comfortable with the high level of visibility in this leadership role within the hotel and community. Flexibility to work various schedules as business demands. Some nights and holidays as required. Partial weekend work is frequently the norm. Ability to be highly flexible in a constantly changing operating (seasonal) environment TOP Requirements: Lead by example: Team Up, Own It and Passionately Serve! Being comfortable with the high level of visibility and the TOP leadership role within the company. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have at least 8 years prior experience as a General Manager, including experience in food and beverage operations. Hilton brand and Resort experience preferred. Conversant in Four Diamond Level service standards. Valid driver's license from the appropriate state. Driving record approved by insurance carrier guidelines. Must have strong financial knowledge with the ability to analyze P&L statements.Depth and Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Reading, Writing, Basic Math, and Computer Skills.
