POSITION SUMMARY The Director Sales Operations will lead the sales and programs management functions for Noble International's business unit, which is essential to Noble's execution concept, putting the customer at the center of everything it does. The role is a first in post position for a new business unit and will help build from the ground up, the concept, strategy, and culture of the business unit, hiring, mentoring and leading the employees that will be onboarded to build out the concept. Responsibilities will include managing assigned P&L, accurate forecasting and closure of all customer orders and programmatic contracts, planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales training, sales program implementation, sales compensation design and administration, and recruiting and selection of sales force talent. The position is part of the key leadership team for the business unit and will be influential in defining the shape of the business unit going into the future. The position will lead and define engagement with stakeholders across a broad spectrum of the industry to position and deliver the business units programs and sales across the globe using the developed integrated solutions that have been developed in concert with the BD teams to enable the sales team to flawlessly execute end to end management from sales order/contract award to successful delivery or implementation of the program in direct support of our needs. The position involves travel, as needed and will entail complex problem solving and kinetic leadership within the organization across different teams both direct and indirect reports. The Director is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization. Reporting to the Vice President - International the position fosters close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the sales organization's efficient operation and success. Establishes high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting approaches used by the organization. Ensures planning, forecasting and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning processes employed within Noble.

  • Partners with Market Lead to provide leadership to the sales organization, and counsel to the Vice President - International in implementing sales objectives that appropriately reflect Noble's business goals.
  • Responsible for equitably assigning Key Performance Indicators that align with Noble's financial objectives.
  • Accountable for the timely development of all sales objectives.
  • Partners with senior leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvements. Facilitates successful implementation of new programs throughout the organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch. Fosters an organization of continuous process improvement.
  • Prioritizes investments in enabling technologies in support of sales productivity. Works closely with the function leaders to understand sales and technology strategy.
  • Works closely with senior sales leadership to define the optimal performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure success. Aligns reporting, training, and incentive programs with these performance management priorities.
  • Ensures sales reports and other internal intelligence is provided to the sales teams. Develops new reporting tools as needed. Coordinates with sales leadership and other stakeholders to lead efficient and accurate sales force reporting initiatives.
  • Oversees sales compensation plan administration. Establishes sales compensation program rules, policies, and procedures. Ensures sufficient resources are assigned to adequately administer sales compensation programs. Works closely with Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources to establish rules, policies, and procedures associated with sales compensation. --- Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE--- Requires a Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from an accredited four-year college or university; and eight to ten years of business-related progressive experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of training and relevant business experience.--- Requires a minimum of 10 years senior business leadership experience, or recommendation in lieu of up to a maximum of 5 years, ideally in an international sales or complex programs environment. Experience should have been gained working with a Prime Government Contractor with exposure to large operations and initiatives.--- Requires a strong knowledge of ITAR, DFAR's FAR's, OFEC and other export restrictions, International funding vehicles, and currency hedging and risk analysis as it pertains to deal strategy and execution post award.--- Master's degree (MS/MA) or equivalent; and eight to ten years of business-related progressive experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of training and relevant business experience Preferred.COMPUTER SKILLS
