        • Theme -park ticketsThe Director of Southside Market is responsible for creating a strategy and implementing an effective sales program that results in the growth of the designated market. The Director provides critical input for the annual business plan and budget; monitors results and recommends changes in direction; directs the sales and service efforts by creating an atmosphere that is aggressively committed to the values of the credit union, and by achieving its vision and strategic goals.Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
          • Develop the strategic direction for sales and service to expand loan and share balances of the credit union within the context of its overall strategic objectives, in collaboration with senior management.
          • Build an annual sales and service plan to accomplish budgeted objectives dictated in the annual business plan and budget.
          • Assist member contact employees in accomplishing their budgeted goals and objectives.
          • Recruit, train, and retain a well-qualified sales and service staff. Work directly with member contact staff to ensure their competence in consultative selling.
          • Serve as the primary liaison between senior management and front-line managers.
          • Analyze market areas to target specific products, which are consistent with the business and strategic plan of the credit union. Research and maintain well informed of products, pricing, and promotions of competitors.
          • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all products and services of the credit union.
          • Review and analyze results, forecasts, and trends for growth. Provide recommendations to senior management for mid-course corrections to insure the achievement of annual budgeted objectives.
          • Direct the efforts of member service representatives, within the branch system to ensure maximum effectiveness in reaching goals and objectives of the credit union by maximizing member relationships.
          • Create an atmosphere conducive to generating "engaged employees" who are committed to its sales process, values, and internal service quality.
          • Ensure that all marketing materials and communications for the credit union are distributed to all member contact employees, in a timely manner.
          • Work with the Marketing Department and senior management in developing new products and promotions.
          • Represent credit union at trade events, community activities, social and business events.Keep abreast of regulation changes and of compliance issues, which particularly relate to lending and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA.) Provide input for policy and procedure changes.Qualifications:
            • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience in a financial institution or similar environment.
            • Three years related management experience required but eight years related management experience strongly preferred.
            • Demonstrate strong organization skills, with a high level of accuracy, to multi-task in a fast- paced environment, and possess a keen attention to details.
            • Demonstrate complex problem-solving skills, which include identifying complex problems; reviewing related information to develop and to evaluate options; and implementing solutions.
