We are Hiring! We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager, to join our Administration Group in Virginia Beach, VA. The Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for the company's accounting and finance functions and will report directly to our CEO. -
What does this mean to you? Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter and energetic manager responsible for implementing and managing core accounting functions and supporting automation in Sage Intacct for our SaaS software business. Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus, or experience with similar accounting software will be considered. You will be responsible for the full order-to-cash process of our subscription revenue business including ASC-606 revenue and expense recognition compliance. You will also need to produce key financial statements, budgets, projections, cash flow projections and analyze key performance indicators in keeping with best practices in the SaaS software industry. Finally, you will participate in product pricing strategy and analysis, leading to improvements in resource utilization and gross margins. - - -
The requirements. We are seeking candidates with a Bachelors degree in Accounting plus a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role with responsibility for accounting and finance, preferably in a SaaS software business or similar subscription revenue business. Non-profit accounting experience is ideal. You will also need 2-3 years of hands-on experience using Sage Intacct Accounting software (or similar) with particular focus on multi-year contracts, forecasts, revenue recognition schedules, billing schedules and related reporting. Demonstrated hands-on experience and competency in financial modeling, forecasting and related management or investor presentations is a must. As previously mentioned, knowledge and fluency in the ASC-606 revenue recognition guidelines is required. -
The non-tangibles. To be successful in this position, you must have demonstrated experience and competency in managing external advisory relationships, excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills among management team members, and excellent customer-facing communication skills. Strong alignment and commitment to the company's values: integrity, innovation and excellence is also key. -
The nice to haves. If you have a Master's Degree in Accounting or Tax, or CPA, that will be considered a plus. Any experience in operations management in software, technology, or related industry would be beneficial. Finally, any experience in LLC and pass-thru tax entities is strongly desired. -
The final, and very important, details. This position is full-time and is eligible for benefits. This position is classified as exempt according to the Fair Labor Standards Act. This Position is open to candidates that are authorized to work in the US and not requiring H-1B or other visa, and willing to work primarily EST time zone hours. -
