Overview VTG is seeking Manager, Division Supply Chain to work out of our Virginia Beach location. Responsibilities The Supply Chain Manager has direct responsibility and oversight of the supply chain management, purchasing, materials management, and logistics functions. Leads the Supply Chain management team in developing and executing supply chain, purchasing and materials management strategies, aligning strategic requirements of the business unit and ensuring customer satisfaction. Requires a background in supply chain management, purchasing, inventory management or logistics. Must have expertise in developing, improving and executing supply chain management processes for continental US and international requirements including experience in supply chain management, requirements forecasting, requirements planning, purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, distribution, shipping, delivery, logistics and customer service. Specific duties include: Manages supply chain, materials management, purchasing and logistics functions. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in supply chain management, purchasing, logistics, warehousing and distribution. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the supply chain, materials management, purchasing and logistics functions, from identification and purchase of material requirements through warehousing and delivery to customer/job site. Includes receipt, handling, storing, issuing, allocating space and physically controlling items within the movement and distribution system and facilities. Manages the purchase order and subcontracts process and complies with all public laws and FAR/DFARS requirements, as well as corporate policies and procedures. Follows established guidelines to process and evaluate vendor quotations. Utilizes appropriate purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service objectives are met. Reviews quotes, proposals, contracts, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of terms and conditions. Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services with suppliers and subcontractors. Prepares, issues and approves purchase orders and change orders within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. Directs the execution of material warehousing and delivery requirements from production and/or project schedules, including Government Property. Uses Warehouse Management systems, determines lead times for transportation, and manages schedules for timely delivery. Responsible for material handling equipment, transportation equipment and storage facilities. Coordinates with operations, quality and program management personnel to ensure early identification and integration of supply chain and logistics capabilities and requirements. Ensures that purchasing, inventory, warehousing and deliveries support division requirements. Designs, implements, monitors and manages supply chain reporting systems. Provides management level status reporting on materials management, purchasing, warehouse management and logistics. Develops and maintains transportation and distribution suppliers that provide best value, high quality services. Develops and implements process improvement regarding supply chain, purchasing, warehouse and logistics systems and procedures. Takes corrective action with quality control personnel, customers, and vendors on defective or unacceptable goods or services. Provides training and development for supply chain management, purchasing and logistics personnel. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics) and two years of supply chain management or logistics and leadership/supervisory experience. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills required. Other: Defense contractor experience, strong program management (quality, cost, and schedule) skills, and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft software (Access, Project, Office) are highly desirable. Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
