Job Description Job Description Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating two bag machines and supporting equipment. You will accurately navigate and input information into a production management system, understand printing job requirements, and perform quality checks of the material being produced. Responsibilities Setup and operate machines and support equipment. Accurately navigate and input information in a production management system. Understand and follow printing job specifications. Set up the machine line by loading film and adjusting for size. Mount cylinders and adjust pressure, tension, and ink distribution. Troubleshoot stoppages and breakdowns, and communicate clearly with appropriate personnel. Perform quality checks and complete related documentation. Operate extrusion lines following safety analysis, standard operating procedures, and quality procedures. Ensure proper materials are used and monitor roll weights to maintain correct gauge. Assure proper processing and labeling of products. Essential Skills Experience with machine operation and troubleshooting (1-3 years ideal, but willing to train). Understanding of startup and changeover processes. Experience with extrusion processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to stand and walk constantly for 12 hours or more. Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull weights ranging from 10-49 lbs for 8-10 hours. Proficiency in balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, grasping, and performing repetitive motions regularly. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment involves a rotating shift of AM and PM (ABCD), with 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
