Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, recently voted #1 in the nation as the best large company to work for by National Mortgage News, is seeking an IT Build Technician/Help Desk Support to join our amazing IT team in our Virginia Beach headquarters!
This position is 100% onsite, local candidates only.

    What you'll be doing
    • Ensuring new hire employees start on time with all accounts and equipment.
    • Configuring computer systems for new hires.
    • Processing inventory of new, retired, and revolving company assets.
    • Promptly following IT departure process for departing employees.
    • Assisting IT help desk personnel with a range of issues both in and out of the field.
    • Expanding knowledge of established Atlantic Bay systems and teams.
    • Coordinating with Infrastructure team for internal moves.
    • Assisting in setting up and moving employee desks.
    • Assisting in the maintenance of hardware and software inventory for IT staff.
    • Assisting in retiring old and damaged equipment for return or recycling.
    • Building positive relationships with customers and team members alike.
    • Assisting with unboxing, storing, and loading equipment into vehicles.
    • Maintaining timely communication with manager.
    • Maintaining effective and courteous email communications with employees.
    • Utilizing Office 365 calendar for appointments and tasks.
      What you'll bring
      • Minimum of 3 years computer experience.
      • Minimum of 2 years customer service experience.
      • Minimum of 1 year networking experience.
      • A+ Certification required (or must get within first 6 months of employment).
      • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
      • Computer proficiency: Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
      • General knowledge of wired and wireless networks.
      • Remote desktop assistance experience (Bomgar preferred).
      • Experience with Active Directory Users and Computers and Voice over IP experience softphones and hard phones.
      • Experience imaging computer computers via network.
      • Display a desire to learn and grow in the trade.
      • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy often during time sensitive situations.
      • Positive can-do attitude with customers, team members, and supervisors.
      • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
      • Can work from written and verbal instructions and complete detailed documentation accurately.
      • Attention to detail including following and explaining details instructions.
      • Good organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
      • Ability to improvise based on environmental/infrastructure needs.
