Competitive Salary JOB DESCRIPTION The Director of Cyberpsychology
will provide leadership to the graduate program and academic
instruction. The successful candidate will teach courses primarily
at the graduate level, engage in scholarly research and student
mentorship, and provide administrative support related to the
continued growth of the M.S. CyberPsychology program (i.e.,
admissions, programming). A review of applications will begin
immediately and continue until the position is filled. DEPARTMENT &
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The Psychology Department is one of the largest
departments at Norfolk State University and offers a Bachelor of
Arts (B.A and B.A.PSY Online) in General Psychology, a Master of
Science (M.S.) in CyberPsychology and a Ph.D. in Clinical
Psychology as part of the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical
Psychology. The M.S. CyberPsychology program is the first program
of its type in the United States and is recognized within the
larger international cyberpsychology community. Our program is an
accelerated online (asynchronous) research-based program that is
committed to studying the ways that humans are impacted by digital

QUALIFICATIONS Earned doctorate (PSY.D or Ph.D.) in Clinical,
Social, Cognitive, Human Factors Psychology or a related
discipline. Evidence of potential for strong teaching. Evidence of
potential for excellence in research. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A
commitment to the development of a research program in
cyberpsychology or a closely related specialization. Teaching
experience at the graduate level. Experience with online teaching
using the Blackboard learning management system. A record of or
potential for obtaining external grant support. Experience in
program coordination and/or administration. The successful
candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills,
personal integrity, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity. How
