School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Located in
the Virginia Beach area, this Elementary School Psychologist
position offers a valuable opportunity to support young learners
through comprehensive psychological services. The assignment runs
from January 5, 2026, through June 16, 2026, within Chesapeake
Public Schools. This full-time or part-time contract role focuses
on serving elementary-aged students, providing critical assessments
and participating in key meetings to promote student success.
Responsibilities: Conduct psychological evaluations and testing for
elementary students Attend and contribute to Admission, Review, and
Dismissal (ARD), re-evaluation, and Individualized Education
Program (IEP) meetings Collaborate with educators, families, and
other professionals to develop plans that support students
educational and emotional needs Maintain accurate documentation and
comply with state and district guidelines Provide recommendations
to enhance student learning and well-being Qualifications: State
licensure as a School Psychologist and an active Department of
Education certification Experience with elementary-aged children
preferred; open to new graduates and early career professionals
Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills Ability
to manage caseload effectively within the standard school day of
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Additional Details: Caseload and hours per week
are flexible and will depend on assignment needs This role is
strictly on-site and does not support hybrid or remote work
