Job Description:
Graphic Designer will create compelling and dynamic designs that
strengthen A.R.E.’s brand and contribute to its mission. He/she
will collaborate closely with director and other marketing/event
team members. Designer will be responsible for executing designs
according to the brand standard guide and will create design
solutions for print, promotional, social media, and digital
materials, ensuring consistency and excellent quality in all
deliverables. Requirements Responsibilities (include but are not
limited to:) Design materials for various projects, including
social campaigns, events, and branding collateral. Focus on social
media content to attract new audiences focused around happenings on
campus and Mind/Body/Spirit topics. Apply and maintain A.R.E.’s
brand style guide, ensuring alignment in logo usage, typography,
illustrative elements, and more. Organize and utilize photography
assets and assist in photo shoots as needed for design projects.
Follow production calendars and deadlines for assigned projects.
Other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience: College
degree in Graphic Design or a related field 3 years of work
experience. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to be
detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational
skills. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. College
degree or experience in Visual Communication, Graphic Design or a
related field Thorough knowledge of inDesign, Illustrator, and
Photoshop Basic level of video editing is a plus Experience in
Wordpress is a plus Self-reliant; able to work independently and
accept responsibility for projects Strong organization skills, able
to switch tasks easily, and can manage time to meet frequently
changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to
detail and interest in accuracy Highly professional and dependable
Interest in mindfulness/spirituality is a plus An understanding of
the key principles in the Edgar Cayce readings, particularly
kindness, active patience, and a service orientation is desirable;
Excellent communication skills oral, written and listening–
demonstrating cooperation, diplomacy, persistence, kindness, and
clarity – is required. Excellent interpersonal/customer service
skills required – to include continuous demonstration of courtesy,
friendliness, patience, kindness, cooperation with service
orientation. Required ability to set priorities among competing
responsibilities, using values of importance to the organization,
departmental needs, and urgency as some of the criteria. Must be
well organized, detail-oriented, accurate and able to handle

as well as independently; be knowledgeable, helpful, and congenial
with members, donors, and coworkers Ability to meet deadlines
consistently while working under broad supervision and exercising
independent, professional judgment. Demonstrated ability to keep
confidential donor information and A.R.E. related information,
including donor, member, customer and staff information required.
Demonstrated skills in managing functions requiring discretion and
sensitivity required. Emotional intelligence and maturity –
demonstrating adaptability, engagement and enthusiasm. A good sense
of humor Special Job or Training Demands: This position acts
continuously as a representative of the A.R.E. as an organization;
must project a positive image. Position has a major effect on
revenues and the financials of the organization. Scope and Impact
of the position: Position has a far-reaching impact on the
organization. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for lengthy
periods of time looking at computer screen; manual dexterity and
coordination are required for more than 50 percent of the work
period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse
and similar machines. Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
