Job Description Job Description VP of Estimating VP of Estimating Position Overview The VP of Estimating will oversee the estimating department and lead the development and implementation of cost estimation processes and strategies. This role is essential in ensuring accurate budget forecasts and supporting project management teams in achieving financial objectives throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the estimating department to ensure efficient and accurate cost estimates. Develop and implement standardized estimating procedures and best practices. Conduct thorough cost analysis and financial forecasting for projects. Collaborate with project managers to support budgeting and resource allocation. Oversee risk management assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential financial risks. Engage in contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions. Provide strategic planning support to align estimating processes with company goals. Ensure timely scheduling of estimates and adherence to deadlines. Monitor market trends and perform procurement assessments to optimize costs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost estimating or a related role in the construction industry. Proven experience in budgeting and financial analysis. Strong understanding of project management principles and practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Expertise in contract negotiation and procurement processes. Ability to analyze risks and develop effective mitigation strategies. Strong organizational and scheduling skills. Advanced proficiency in estimating software and tools.
