Job Description Job Description Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician Location: Hampton, VA Employment Type: Full-Time Workplace Type: On-site About the Role We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will manage and perform preventative maintenance and repairs across multiple buildings and facilities. You’ll handle service calls using a company vehicle and work together with a team of technicians. This position offers variety, independence, and the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team. Key Responsibilities Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on buildings and facilities. Respond to service calls across designated properties using a company vehicle. Work independently and as part of a team based on service schedules. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams. Log work orders and service requests. Participate in an on-call rotation for weekend coverage every 4–6 weeks. Essential Skills & Qualifications Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical (lighting, sockets, etc), and carpentry (wall repair, drywall, etc) Minimum 1 year of experience in facility or apartment maintenance. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong troubleshooting skills. Valid Virginia driver’s license . High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Skills HVAC experience (a plus, but not required). DIY handyman or home remodeling experience. Why Join Us? All necessary tools and equipment provided. Work Environment Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm & Monday - Friday This role involves physical activity, including standing, walking between buildings, and lifting or moving items as needed. You’ll work in a variety of clean, well-maintained facilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hampton, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
