JOB SUMMARY -- Investor Reporting Supervisor is directly responsible for supervising, mentoring, and leading the investor accounting staff in ensuring investor reporting and remittances are processed based on requirements along with other duties related to the department. -- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -- -- -- Supervises the processing of GNMA, FHLMC, and FNMA agency reporting and remitting as assigned -- -- Ensures that all procedures are being followed and all controls in place are effective -- -- Collaborates with internal and external auditors, as required, in their research of records -- -- Reviews accounting procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy -- -- Distributes day-to-day work assignments to investor accounting staff on existing and newly acquired loans -- -- Cross train on all Reporting Requirements to ensure that entire Investor Accounting Department is covered at all times -- -- Mentors, trains and directs activities of staff -- -- Assists Investor Accounting Manager with projects and audits -- -- Performs quality control review as needed in Investor Accounting Department -- -- Supervises all processing to private investors -- -- Ensures all new loans are transferred to the correct investor -- -- Responsible for requesting, creating/preparing, updating/revising, reviewing, testing, finalizing/approving, conduct training and maintain the departments policies and procedures -- -- All other duties as assigned -- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -- High School Diploma or equivalent required -- -- Position requires knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations applicable to mortgage and consumer lending -- -- Knowledge of loan servicing practices -- -- Ability to work independently and minimal direction and to meet deadlines -- -- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and analyze accounts and records of a complex, detailed, and recurring nature -- -- Knowledge of Agency reporting requirements -- -- Mathematical ability sufficient to perform the job functions -- -- Supervisory skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, train, coach, evaluate performance, and lead a staff in a fast-paced environment -- -- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally, in person and by telephone, with all levels of the organization and with external customers -- -- Strong instructing and advising skills required -- -- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service -- -- Ability to enter and extract data from a computer database -- -- Ability to locate data in a computer database for the purpose of reconciling accounts, researching and resolving customer inquiries -- -- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality -- -- Considerable knowledge of and ability to use automated accounting systems; ability to use personal computers, peripherals, business software and applications specific to organizational needs -- -- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products, a personal computer and a 10-key calculator -- WORK CONDITIONS -- Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance.
