Virginia has to offer!Job OverviewWe are seeking an APP to provide
office-based care within our Acute Care clinical model. This
successful clinic allows a same day/next day appointments model for
patients with urgent urological conditions. Most common diagnoses
are: kidney stones, hematuria, infection, urinary retention, etc.
The APP will decide upon intervention and follow up needs in
collaboration with the supporting physicians. Involvement in
procedural care is available and encouraged.Duties and
ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate a high degree of general medical and
urological knowledge and exercise independent judgment as
appropriateAssess the patients medical conditions (Ex: kidney
stones, hematuria, infection, urinary retention, etc.) by
completion of a urological examinationDocument appropriately and
communicate with the appropriate physician in a timely manner as
required, including, but not limited to: evaluations, treatment
plans, progress reports, treatment notes, and other reports as
requestedOrder and evaluate laboratory, radiological and diagnostic
testsPrescribe, monitor, and adjust medications and devices based
on the patients medical conditionDevelop and perform treatment
plans in accordance with established protocolsOrder physical
therapy, occupational therapy and/or home health care as
appropriatePerform acute office-based procedures as
trainedRequirements:Required License/Experience/SkillsGraduate of
an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
