experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Richmond,
Virginia. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting
the Plant Controller by managing financial planning, forecasting,
and budgeting processes to ensure alignment with organizational
goals. This is a long-term contract position offering an
opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the financial success of
a leading company in the food and food processing industry.
Responsibilities: • Assist in managing monthly financial close
processes for manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with
accounting standards. • Deliver detailed financial analyses to
guide decisions on capital investments, cost-saving initiatives,
and product innovation. • Perform variance analyses to identify
discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations for
improvement. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver
financial insights that support organizational projects and
strategies. • Uphold and enhance internal controls to maintain data
accuracy and protect company assets. • Develop and refine financial
models to support strategic planning and decision-making. • Analyze
cost structures to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost
reduction. • Utilize data mining techniques to extract and
interpret financial trends. • Support ad hoc financial reporting
and analysis tasks as needed. • 5 years of experience in financial
analysis or related roles. • Proficiency in financial modeling and
advanced variance analysis techniques. • Strong knowledge of SAP
and Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data management. •
Experience conducting internal control reviews to ensure compliance
and accuracy. • Demonstrated ability to analyze costs related to
product development and manufacturing. • Familiarity with data
mining techniques to extract actionable insights. • Proven track
record of supporting month-end close processes in a manufacturing
environment. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills,
with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
