Job Description:

OVERVIEW : The Collections Specialist is a seasoned, career collector- responsible for managing a complete portfolio of high-profile, past-due accounts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to partnering with past due consumers to resolve balances, effective negotiation, skip tracing and compliance with all regulatory and company requirements and policies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
---Service customers by resolving past-due loan balances within the guidelines of company policy.
---Process necessary paper-work, and verify and analyze required documentation to ensure maximum success for customers to be able to repay loans.
---Demonstrate ability to achieve or exceed monthly goals.
---Support and cultivate strong relationship culture through on-going customer contact, quality customer service and superior product knowledge.
---Answer customer questions regarding products, fees, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
---Input necessary data into company's database with a high degree of accuracy.
---Maintain a high volume of daily, direct communication with customers.
---Provide operational support through working with other departments to resolve issues that develop.
---Ensure customer records are up-to-date and accurate.
---Skip trace customers for up to date contact information.
---Manage and track lending and collection activity in a clear, understandable & accessible manner.
---Follow all FinFit policies and procedures.
---Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
---At least 3-5 years of proven, successful collection history---Excellent customer service skills
---Strong organizational and negotiation skills
---Expert written and verbal communication skills
---Strong sales skills, including cross-selling
---Ability to prioritize and make reasonable "on-the-spot" decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues against company exposure to loss or fraud
---Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
---Able to work well under pressure
---Ability to set priorities/multi-task/meet deadlines---Able to interact with all levels of personnel
---Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
---Proficient computer skills
---Detail oriented
---Problem solving skills
---Ability to research and skip-trace delinquent customers using available files and databases Familiarity with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
---Spanish language skills a plus
