Born Primitive is seeking an Accounting Clerk to assist in the maintenance of our day-to-day accounting system and work on related accounting projects. • Post financial transactions in the company accounting system
• Create journal entries as needed in accordance with accrual-based accounting
• Assist with the month-end close process
• Support Financial Controller on various accounting related projects(Job description is not intended to provide a complete and comprehensive list of all job duties, requirements, and responsibilities. Instead, it is provided as a general overview of the expectations for the position.) - -Minimum Qualifications:
  • Postsecondary education with a focus on accounting, Bookkeeper Certification a plus
  • 2+years of relevant accounting experience, retail setting a plusRequired Characteristics:
    • Knowledgeable on financial reporting under the accrual methods of accounting
    • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to multi-task, determine priorities, and meet deadlines
    • Possess excellent communication skills
    • Possess a high moral standard
    • Knowledge of Quickbooks software and other accounting programs/software a plus
    • Must be available to work Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm, as well as overtime and occasional weekends as necessaryHow You Will Be Rewarded:
