SJS Executives, LLC dba SJS Industrial (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is seeking a meticulous, and detail-oriented Assistant Accounting who will work in our Virginia Beach headquarters location providing various administrative/accounting duties supporting our growing organization. The ideal candidate will be an adaptable professional who will be able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently and occasional under time sensitive events. This candidate must be comfortable working with a high level of attention to detail and working with time sensitive projects and deadlines. Pay range for this position will be $17.00-$20.00 hourly. SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with about 250 employees coast to coast; it specializes in professional services to support federal and military organizations.Responsibilities will include:Provide support to other accounting areas (Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, etc.) for ledger and business transactional issues.Additional tasks may include assisting the accounting department with special assignments and respond to accounting and payroll inquires.Daily activities will vary from day to day due to independently addressSupport monthly reporting editing and validation issues associated with the monthly reporting process.Identify problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions to accounting and financial related issues.Assisting with updates, and submissions of monthly update of customer monthly status reports.Providing data input into various systems, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in support of the above administrative dutiesAdditional tasks may include assisting Accountants with special assignments and respond to accounting and payroll inquires.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:Must have 2 years of relevant experience.Previous experience with ADP and QuickBooks systems preferred, but not required.Previous experience with Microsoft Office product SuiteMust have a clean record and be able to successfully pass a drug test and thorough background check that spans beyond 7 years for possible access onto military installations.SJS Industrial, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Executives, is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy status and/or gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factors.
