Dragas, Director and Shareholder2.Direct Reports:Loan Origination staff, Operations Manager, Underwriter, Processing staff, Loan closer, Loan shipper3.Other Relationships:Builders, real estate agents, legal counsel, outside regulatory reporting agencies, investors/secondary market correspondents, and PMI companiesSummary of Position: The President is responsible for directing the operations of the Mortgage Company to ensure:- A sustainable, profitable mortgage loan portfolio is maintained,- Delivery of exceptional customer service to homebuyers and refinance clientele- Compliance with state, federal, and investor regulations throughout the origination, processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing functions - Provides guidance, training, opportunity, and support for the well-being of Dragas Mortgage Company staffEssential Duties:* Development and implementation one- and five-year strategic plans to advance the Mortgage Company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth* Development and adherence to annual financial and operational budget* Personal loan production-counsel customers on various types of mortgage financing, complete mortgage application, follow through to closing and resolve any problems * Direct all facets of mortgage lending operations including origination, underwriting, processing, closing and secondary market transactions * Increase market share of high-quality salable loans, while ensuring high customer service levels* Ensure 100% compliance with RESPA and other operational controls, regulatory standards, policies and practices* Provide management direction to foster effective selection, development, and reward of employees* Manage mortgage pipeline * Oversee the production of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports* Conduct annual internal audit and cooperate with Virginia SCC auditRelated Duties: * Ensure professional development and training of staff, from new product introduction to basic underwriting, processing, and closing training to more advanced compliance, policy and procedural information * Stay abreast of industry "best operational practices" and all regulatory guidelines * Identify and execute marketing activities to increase market share and build brand awareness.* Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, or related field * Minimum of ten years proven mortgage lending experience in originating FHA, VA, Conventional, and VHDA loans with demonstrated progressive career advancement to a senior management level* Strong knowledge of underwriting and credit reporting regulations and guidelines (RESPA, etc), and quality assurance standards* Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Highly effective interpersonal skills; proven leadership ability* Track record showing high performance in developing and servicing business relationships, delivering exceptional customer service, and providing staff leadership * Strong knowledge of secondary market guidelines and compliance requirements * Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills* Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) certification through Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) * Experience with mortgage lending software - Encompass preferred* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven leadership skills* The ability to develop and service business relationships, deliver exceptional customer service, and provide staff leadership * Strong knowledge of secondary market guidelines and compliance requirements * Possess and demonstrate excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills* Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) certification through Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) preferred* Experience with mortgage lending software * Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office productsPhysical Requirements: * Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word* Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels* Visual acuity is required for color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data* Perform work that requires reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, and repetitive motions.* Occasional lifting of files and boxes
